Motor
DC motors are available in a range of voltages and power outputs. Some are also available with an integral earbox to reduce the output shaft speed. Small DC motors are designed for light duty work such as model systems, rotating signs etc. Reversing the polarity of the supply to the motor causes it to rotate in the opposite direction. Stopping the motor by removing the supply and then connecting the two motor terminals together causes the motor to be braked rapidly.
