Dietry fibre is inegestible matter which comes from the cell walls of plants. It helps to ensure that the body's solid waste passes out of the body easily and in the minimum time, preventing constipation and disease. Good sources of dietry fibre (or roughage) are bran, wholemeal flour, wholegrain cereals, root vegetables, peas, beans and dried fruit. | |
